South Africa’s police have been rocked by a series of crippling corruption scandals in recent years, and for the past few months, there’s been a cloud hanging over Western Cape police commissioner Arno Lamoer. This morning it emerged he had been arrested, along with three other police officers and two Cape Town businessmen. The six face 109 counts, including corruption.
