But what does it mean for investing in China? Or indeed for the rest of the emerging markets and the global economy?

And while Frank’s young daughter, home from school because the UK petrol shortage, sleeps serenely throughout, Angus’s dog make his presence felt, saying it will all be quite ‘rough’.
