Global Entrepreneurship Week is kicking off with a fresh and unexpected
celebration of the entrepreneurial spirit — through music. A new Spotify
playlist titled Founders Frequency has been curated by the winners of the Old
Mutual SMEGo Pitchathon 2025, turning their personal journeys into a
soundtrack of determination, creativity and resilience.
The playlist is designed to capture the emotional and mental roller coaster
behind building a business — from moments of doubt and darkness, to
breakthroughs, victories, and renewed purpose. Each featured entrepreneur
selected a song that carries meaning for their own business journey.
 Thabang Monyamane, founder of eJuuz, chose Kelvin Momo & Stixx
– “Uku Khanya”, saying the song reminded him to keep looking for
light in dark moments. With the title meaning “to be light” in Zulu, the
track captures optimism and clarity during uncertainty.
 Lutic Mosoane, founder of Winsome Africa, selected Trip Lee – “All
Rise Up” because it speaks directly to purpose, faith and perseverance.
For him, success is about impact, rising after every fall, and uplifting
others in the process.
The playlist officially drops on 21 November, marking the start of Global
Entrepreneurship Week. More than just a music collection, Founders
Frequency is a creative storytelling tool — showing how entrepreneurship is
powered not only by strategy, but also by rhythm, energy, emotion and
inspiration.
Today we get a front row seat to see how music shapes the entrepreneurial
mindset, how playlists can become motivational tools, and why this creative
collaboration matters for South Africa’s start-up ecosystem.
