In this episode of Called – Life with Impact, we sit down with Alex Macris, Director of Broad Reach Maritime and skipper of the 52ft schooner Morning Star.

Alex and his wife Jo-Ann both come from rich missionary backgrounds. Their parents served in missions in Irian Jaya, Indonesia (Alex’s family) and Belgium (Jo-Ann’s family). After graduating from Millar College of the Bible in Saskatchewan, Canada, they followed God’s call into ministry.

Since 1995, Alex and Jo-Ann have been serving in Greece under Hellenic Ministries. Over the years, Alex has served in many areas of ministry, while continuing to lead Broad Reach Maritime, the maritime department of Hellenic Ministries.

In this conversation, Alex shares his journey of calling, faith, and the unique role maritime ministry plays in reaching people and serving communities.
