Jude chats to Cameron Bruce & Ian Cohen from the Rosie Bruce Band on the SA & Indie Music Zone.
The Rosie Bruce Band is led by the striking vocal talent of Rosie Bruce, a young and exceptionally gifted singer whose smooth, expressive voice defines the group’s sound. She is joined by her father, Cameron Bruce, and Ian Cohen, with a recent addition to the lineup being Rosie’s cousin, Ben Reid on piano.
Cameron Bruce, an accomplished singer-songwriter and guitarist, has been performing since the late 1980s and was a founding member of The Streaks. Ian Cohen, also a respected songwriter and musician associated with Bright Blue, contributes bass guitar and backing vocals, adding depth and experience to the band’s arrangements.
“Mother City” was produced at the end of 2025 and has had limited airplay to date due to the band’s active performance schedule. The track features an impressive lineup of guest musicians, including members linked to Bright Blue, such as Peter Cohen, Tom Fox, and Keith Farquharson, further enriching its sound.
The Rosie Bruce Band will perform at the South Shore Music Festival on 2 May.
