Every week, PDBY Deputy Head Jason Visser joins Tuks FM on air to chat about PDBY stories of interest, while opening up to greater conversations.
Founded in 1939, it was originally known as Perdeby before rebranding to PDBY to reflect its expansion into digital and broadcast media. The publication covers campus-specific and national news across four main sections: News, Features, Entertainment, and Sport. Tabloid-sized copies are distributed for free across all UP campuses (Hatfield, Groenkloof, Onderstepoort and Medical). Digital: Articles and full digital editions are available on the official PDBY website. It serves as a training ground for aspiring journalists, photographers, and editors, allowing students to gain real-world newsroom experience.
