National Coloured Congress leader Fadiel Adams has been arrested by the Political Killings Task Team in connection with alleged interference in the investigation into ANC councillor Sindiso Magaqa’s murder. Police say Adams faces charges of fraud and defeating the ends of justice, with a J50 warrant issued after he failed to hand himself over as arranged. Authorities claim he interfered with a convicted hitman at a critical stage of the probe. Adams, however, insists the charges are politically motivated. Phemelo speaks to Portfolio Committee on Police Chairperson Ian Cameron.
