My heart dropped when I saw post after post appear on my Facebook feed of Jesse and Larry being stranded on Mount Everest during the recent Nepal earthquake. I aupaired for the Neugarten family for years in Cape Town and have so many happy memories with my 'family' away from family. Here's my interview with a very grown up Jes (nothing like the small little boy remember) about his frightening and life-changing experience.
