While the short term points to a soggy patch in terms of global resource demand, Peter Brooke is bullish on mineral demand around the world in the long term. In three to five years, there is the potential for a resources super-cycle driven by de-carbonisation and higher inflation. The mining sector will certainly benefit from this shift, but South Africa is unlikely to.
