Beitbridge truck backlog eases after BMA intervention

The truck backlog at the Beitbridge border post has eased from about 20 kilometres to eight, following engagements between South African and Zimbabwean border officials. The Border Management Authority has also suspended the movement of abnormal-load trucks to help ease congestion. What caused the delays, and what is being done to prevent another major backlog?
