Meet the dental therapists closing the care gap

There’s a health-care profession you may never have heard of that could be part of the solution to gaps in rural and remote dental care. The University of Saskatchewan is home to Canada’s only dental therapy program, training professionals who can provide everything from checkups and fillings to simple extractions in communities where access to a dentist can be difficult. Dr. Walter Siqueira, USask College of Dentistry Dean, joins Brent to talk about the importance of training Dental therapists.
