Dr Mashaba educates us on Cerebral Palsy #HealthTalk
Loading player...
Cerebral palsy is a lifelong neurological condition that can affect movement, muscle coordination, posture and, in some cases, speech, learning and other aspects of daily life. Yet, there are still many misconceptions surrounding cerebral palsy, including what causes it, when it develops and what life can look like for someone living with it.
On today’s #HealthTalk, we are going beyond the diagnosis to better understand cerebral palsy, the early signs parents and caregivers should look out for, available interventions and how families can support children and adults living with the condition. We also explore the importance of inclusion and challenging the assumptions that often surround people with disabilities.
