Kirsten Deane is the lead editor of English Alive, South Africa’s oldest publication for high school students. Her writing has been published in journals nationally and internationally, and her debut collection, Disabled, But, was released by uHlanga Press in April 2026.
Letlhogonolo Mokgoroane is a practising advocate and also a part-time in-counsel at the Centre for Applied Legal Studies at the University of the Witwatersrand. They were named one of the Top 200 Young South Africans in 2018 and, in 2022, formed part of the judging panel for the Caine Prize for African Writing.
