South Africans who've lost someone to suicide are being encouraged to light a candle at 7 o'clock tonight — as part of a nationwide moment of remembrance.
The South African Depression and Anxiety Group says grief after a suicide can be particularly lonely — with stigma sometimes making families reluctant to even talk about the person they've lost.
On World Suicide Prevention Day, SADAG wants those lives remembered — while reminding us that knowing what to look for could help prevent another family experiencing that loss.
