Rodney Trudgeon’s guest on People of Note this week is the British politician The Rt Honourable Lord Peter Hain, who grew up In Apartheid South Africa and went into exile in the UK with his parents in the 1960s. Lord Hain was responsible for the cancellation of whites only sports tour to the UK, which did not endear him to South Africans. He joined the Labour Party in Britain and was then appointed to the House of Lords.
