Yesterday morning, traders at Mitchells Plain Town Centre alerted us to a police raid on foreign shop-owners. Our reporters confirmed that it was in fact Operation Fiela -  a joint operation of SAPS, armed forces, Home Affairs and SARS officials, who were clamping down on illegal foreign nationals and criminal elements. While some traders welcomed the operation, others were not impressed. The matter has been raised by many human rights groups. We chat now to the head of Immigration Detention at Lawyers for Human Rights, Wayne Ncube.......
