Parkhurst is set to turn pink this October as Vuma and PinkDrive join forces to launch Pinkhurst, a community-focused initiative aimed at raising awareness of breast cancer, encouraging early screening and bringing residents together around an important health message.
The initiative will form part of the Parkhurst Village Fair, taking place at Verity Park on Saturday, 3
October 2026, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Through Pinkhurst, Vuma and PinkDrive will create opportunities for the Parkhurst community to learn more about breast cancer, access screening services and show their support for those affected by the disease.
The campaign will bring a visible splash of pink to the neighbourhood, with the community encouraged to take part in “Paint Parkhurst Pink” and help turn local spaces into a collective
Statement of support and awareness.
