The first Africa Prize for Engineering innovation was announced at a prestigious event last night which saw the four finalists going head to head to be crowned the winner of a R450 000 prize. For the past six months, 12 talented entrepreneurs from Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa went through an intensive course of training and mentoring. To tell us more, we have the winner, Dr Askwar Hilongwa from Arusha in Tanzania.
