Sports Minister Fikile Mbalula is adamant the South African government and the local organising committee (LOC) did not pay a bribe in its bid to host the 2010 Fifa World Cup.The minister held a press briefing at South African Football Association (Safa) House in Johannesburg, where he responded to damning allegations that have surfaced in the Fifa scandal, implicating South Africa in a widespread bribery and racketeering investigation. An Interpol red notice has been issued for former Fifa vice president Jack Warner and five other Fifa officials.
