This weekend saw South Africa hosting various leaders from Africa at the African Union Smiit. But the fate of the the Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir is hanging in the balance. Yesterday the South African Litigation Centre brought an urgent application in the Pretoria High Court to prevent Al Bashir from leaving the country. According to the International Criminal Court, Bashir has been on the wanted list since 2009 for war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide in Darfur. Souith Afica is an ICC member state.
