Protest action and mass Jumuah salaah took place outside of the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg today calling for the release of Sheikh Abdus Salaam Bassiouni. Inside the centre, delegates and African leaders are taking part in the African Union Summit. The aim of the protest is to urge leaders to echo the call for Bassiouni's release.
