The National Energy regulator of South Africa has denied Eskom the 25% tariff hike. Nersa has requested that Eskom go back to the drawing board and make another application in accordance with the MYPD methodology. And with Eskom warning that if they did not receive the increase, there might be definite possibility of a blackout.
