A few listeners have been asking us to get an update on the closure of the Good Hope Centre and how it will impact on the Cape Malay Choirs. The last time our news team chatted to the Cape Malay Choir board, there were talks about a mass march. The choir board has been at loggerheads with the city since the announcement that it would be leasing the Good Hope Centre to a private film company. The GrandWest Arena at the GrandWest Casino and Kenilworth Racecourse are some of the alternatives being put forward by the City of Cape Town.
