The recent information sessions which was hosted by the City of Cape Town on the Gathering Act, highlighted the regulations and workings of the Act. According to the Right to Know in the Western Cape it is important for people in South Africa to know their rights to freedom of assembly, demonstration and picket and is quite appalled that the City still believes that the public needs to apply to hold protests.
