
Plans on track for Mandarin to be rolled out in schools

The Basic Education Department says it’s on track with its plans to see the implementation of Mandarin as a subject in South African schools. But it seems as though many people are not in support of this, questioning why African languages are being side-lined in favour of foreign ones.
