When the landmark trial of former Chadian dictator Hissène Habré on charges of crimes against humanity, war crimes, and torture formally opened before tExtraordinary African Chambershe in Senegal on July 20, Habré had to be removed from court after an outburst. His lawyers then refused to appear and the trial was adjourned, giving new court-appointed lawyers time to study the case. The trial is set to resume on Monday in Dakar.
