Since late 2013, a campaign supported by the radical Buddhist group Ma Ba Tha has forced dozens of Muslim-owned slaughterhouses and beef-processing facilities to shut down, with thousands of cows seized from their Muslim owners, according to an investigation by journalists at Myanmar Now.
