National Police Commissioner, General Riah Phiyega, today released the Annual Crime Statistics to Parliaments Police Portfolio Committee. The figures said to have shown an overall increased in crime statistics over the last year. The report also has sparked doubt over the validity and reliability the report. According to the DA, the statistics could be intentionally manipulated if the statistics were not independently audited. DA shadow minister of police.
