The Palestinian flag was yesterday for the first time, raised outside the United Nations Headquarters in New York. This after an address by Palestinain President Mahmoud Abbas to the UN General Assembly. The move, opposed by the US and Israel brought great excitement and optimism to the Plaestinian territories.
