The Muslim Judicial Council (MJC) held a meeting with death registrars, cemetery committees and burial societies to inform them of the new legislation enacted to burial of the deceased. The Provincial manager of the Department of Home Affairs (DHA), Yusuf Simons as well as Susan Brice, cemetery coordinator for the City of Cape Town also attended the event. VOC new reporter Najma Bibi Noor Mohamed spoke to Sh Riyard Fataar about the outcomes of the event.
