Berg River swim cut short by high water pollution levels and low flow

Andrew Chin and Henko Roukema are extreme swimmer and recently braved the waters of the Berg River to raise awareness around the state of our rivers. The team hit the water on Monday 19 October and had planned to swim the Berg River from source to sea. The “Rivers for Life” campaign came to a bitter end after the two fell ill when they were exposed to polluted water.
