Department of Communication investigate Set-top Box tenders

The process of securing local tenders for the purchasing of set-top boxes is under investigation by the Department of Communication. This comes after allegation of Chinese imports had come to light sparking political debate and disagreements among broadcasters. As you may know South Africa had planned to switch over to digital broadcasting in June 2015 but failed to meet the deadline.
