Spina bifida (Latin: "split spine") is a birth defect where there is incomplete closing of the backbone and membranes around the spinal cord, and Hydrocephalus \ (from Greek hydro-, meaning "water", and kephalos, meaning "head") is a medical condition in which there is an abnormal accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in the brain. Stay tuned as we welcome in studio Zubeida Toefy, a nursing sister and founder of ASBAH – SA – Association for Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus to tell us more about these congenital defects.
