Cosatu National Congress: Why It Matters

Cosatu’s national congress got under way in Midrand yesterday and by the looks of things, there was some drama yesterday. We know that the trade union federation has been extremely fractured with the expulsion of Numsa and Zwelinzima Vavi….so it’s now hoping to reposition itself. Delegates are due to elect new leaders for the first time since infighting and factional battles started in 2012.
