
World Aids Day : SA’s Progress In The Fight Against HIV/Aids

December 1st is World Aids Day and while our government says we have made great strides in the fight against Hiv/Aids, there are still a number of challenges. SA currently has the biggest HIV treatment programme in the world‚ with more than 3 million of our people on life-saving anti-retrovirals but the “number of new HIV infections is still extremely high‚ particularly among young women and girls”.
