World Aids Day : SA’s Progress In The Fight Against HIV/Aids

December 1st is World Aids Day and while our government says we have made great strides in the fight against Hiv/Aids, there are still a number of challenges. SA currently has the biggest HIV treatment programme in the world‚ with more than 3 million of our people on life-saving anti-retrovirals but the “number of new HIV infections is still extremely high‚ particularly among young women and girls”.

This morning we are going to chat to Siraaj Adams, the General Manager of the HIV YourLife programme and Executive Manager of HIV department at Metropolitan Health Risk Management
