Pollsmoor Overcrowding A Human Rights Violation

Whilst crime remains a problem in our country the number of prisoners walking through the doors of Pollsmoor prison has exceeded the capacity of the facility. Though Inmates’ basic needs such as food, education and health care are seen to the overpopulation often results in bad living conditions which is not conducive and might go against their human rights.
