The 2nd Congress on Islamic Civilisation in Southern Africa was hosted by Awqaf in Durban over the weekend. The highlight of this year’s symposium focused on the history of Islam in South Africa and strengthening the relationship between Muslims and other religions in the country. This years event has a diverse group of guest including Dr. Husein Mohammed Bowa, Prof. Yousuf Dadoo, Mawlana, Ebrahim Dockrat, Fatima Asmal and our very own Shafiq Morton among others.
