Whilst the public are encouraged to report crime or information of criminals. The protection of people who report crime might detour public from sharing information and risk of information going missing in the hand of officials might also be discourage individuals to pass on info to officials. How are police meant to handle criminal evidence they receive from public and protecting public who report crime.
