
MJC responds to outdated Spur Steak Ranch certification

The Spur Steak Ranch kiosk which was stationed at the Junior Argus Cycle Tour last week has come under fire on social media for operating with an outdated MJC Halal Certificate. To give you some idea about the seriousness of the situation. The Junior Argus Cycle Tour event is attended by hundreds of Muslim families whose children participated in the bicycle race. Which means there were many hungry tummies to fill and imagine after you eaten you meal you find out you been deceived to believe the food you eating had been halal.
Now VOC had contacted Spur CEO Pierre Van Donders earlier this week and he issued a formal apology to
Muslims after halal bungle and mentioned that the issues was currently under investigation . As for the outdated MJC certification, we have Sheikh Achmat Sedick Head of the Muslim Judicial Council Halaal Trust (MJCHT) to respond.
