As you may know the recent damage to Metrorail infrastructure has resulted in commuters running late for work and might have even cost you extra, if you were using alternative transport. In some cases workers who arrived late have had money deducted from their salaries. So the recent damage to the railway service has had adverse effects on people who make use of public transport. In response to these concerns the Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) met with the Provincial Director of the Metrorail yesterday and held a press conference addressing some of the pressing issues relating to the situation.
