Sports Transformation - Should corporates get involved?

Sports transformation has been one of the big debates in South Africa this week after Sports Minister Fikile Mbalula announced his department's intention to withdraw funding from the country's major sports bodies if they do not meet transformation targets. He said Athletics SA, Cricket SA, Rugby SA and Netball SA would lose their rights to international tournaments if they failed to comply.
Now the whole issue has raised an important question on the role of corporate companies in sports development at a grass roots level. To chat more about this, we have Brenda Scheepers, founder of Angel Projects …they run a specialised rugby development programme.
