Titanium in the Spotlight - AGAIN:
“The metal Titanium has a long history in South Africa. Just to refresh your chemistry, Titanium is a silverish-white metal of high strength, very popular in high-performance alloys in the motor trade, and essential to jet engines and aerospace activities.

It’s also the best metal to use for implants such as artificial hips and ankles, as it’s bio-compatible, meaning it wont react with body tissues. In fact you probably ingested a small amount of Titanium this morning with your breakfast, but your body will totally ignore it.
But the main commercial use of Titanium comes in the form of a brilliant white powder, Titanium dioxide, which is used in paints and pigments, and in making white paper really white.”
