“The African Utility Week mega-show has just ended in Cape Town, with delegates and role-players in the electrical energy and water utility fields showing off their specialities and expertise, and delegates trading views on the rapidly developing energy and water scene throughout Africa. From energy efficiency to an intelligent power grid, to recycling waste-water, to bio-gas harvesting, wind and wave energy. The big players like Eskom and Du Pont Solar Voltaics were prominent of course, but there are many start-up and innovative companies too in the rich diversity of resource management – from renewables like Biogas and Wave energy to nuclear to – well anything that fits the description. For instance, how about diving equipment? How does that figure?”
