Western Cape SBG project to help manage finances of schools

Now while organisation in South Africa might not be immune to corruption. A recent report released by Corruption Watch revealed that if School Governing Body members are not adequately skilled to manage financial reports, the school they serve might be susceptible to corruptive activities. To safeguard schools in the Province the Western Cape Department of Education together with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) SAICA’s launched the School Governing Body (SGB) capacitation programme.
