Continuing the topic of gentrification we focus on the proposed development in the Bo-Kaap which the Municipal Planning Tribunal approved last week. The decision to give the go ahead for the development has not been welcomed by residents and supporters. Members who attended the tribul meeting to observe the process feel that their efforts to participate as public have been ignored. VOC journalist Raeesah Isaacs visited home owners in Bo-Kaap and this is what they had to day.
