Corporal punishment in schools

Now whilst teachers are not allowed to use corporal punishment to discipline pupils in schools. A recent report released by the Western Cape Education Department revealed that more than 200 teachers in the Province still use physical methods such as canning or the whip to get children to behave in the classroom.
