Illegal fishing concern for South Africa

Amidst the high cost of living that South Africans are struggling to keep up with, illegal fishing or netting in areas along the Southern African coast is a growing challenge for our countries fishing industry. In recent months there have been various reports of foreign vessels being intercepted by the South Africa’s navy and in some instances trawlers have been caught in other coastal provinces poaching million rands worth of illegal fish.
