Whilst crime might be prevalent in many parts of the country the recent crime statistics released by the South African Police Services show that there has been an increase in contact crimes, which includes murder, attempted murder, assault and sexual offences and sexual offences has increased in Limpopo and the Northern Cape with all other provinces seeing a decline.
