In the next few days pilgrims will be setting out to complete their fifth Pillar of Islam as they undertake the holy journey of Hajj. As you may know good health is considered a valuable asset for this special journey as the ibadah pilgrims engage in is for the most part conducted in the extreme weather conditions and highly physical. This include the tawaf (circling around the Kabah) walking or running from Safa to Marawah etc. With that said the South African Hajj and Umrah Council have voiced concerns about the non-air-conditioned camps site South African hujaaj will be occupying on Arafah amidst temperatures expected to reach between 45 and 50 degrees in ‘Arafah in Saudi Arabia.
