Sanitary Pad

While access to basic healthcare might have improved over the years, women basic needs such as using sanitary pads remain a problem for women with females from disadvantaged communities worse due to social economic circumstances making it almost impossible for them to buy basic sanitary products. In a bid to address raise awareness on women’s matters members of and National Treasury recently met to discuss the feasibility of VAT exemptions on sanitary products.
